Original Description:
Dug War of 1812 1-piece script LA, Light Artillery, coat button. The front has a script LA over a 1 inside an oval. The reverse is blank. It has a greenish patina and the shank is missing. It measures 20 mm's in diameter. Thisbutton was dug at Multnomah the plantation home of Maj. John Dougherty Indian Agent and Mountain Man. It was dug in the early 1980's by Jerry Emberlin on private property with permission. This site is located in Clay Co., Missouri.
