The following points indicate this as being a relatively early printing of The Philosopher's Stone:- Copyright credited to Joanne Rowling and not J. K. Page 17, lines 31-32 - “I’ll be takin’ Sirius his bike back” changed to “I’d best get this bike away”
Page 31, line 34 - deletion of an unnecessary single comma at the beginning of the sentence
Page 52, line 35 - “A Beginners’ Guide” changed to “A Beginner’s Guide”
Page 56, lines 17-18 - “seventeen sickles an ounce” changed to “sixteen sickles an ounce”
