Forauction is a c. 1959 Plastic Ferrule Broadhead manufactured by the HawkeyeFeather Company of Salem, Oregon. This unique head had a revolutionary idea atthe time as the inside of the ferrule was threaded to acccept a tapered wood shaft. Advertisements touted the fact that you didn’tneed glue to attach the head to the shaft. This head is in surprisingly good condition as it is unsharpened fromfactory and still has the plastic tips attached to the ferrule where it cameout ...of the form. Most of these heads I have seen have had the tips lost when thehead came out of the form. Wood peg unscrews from the head very easy. ThisABCC# 0579.00 came in white and black ferrules.
