Facsimile of a slightly imperfect manuscript in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lacunae completed from the closely related MS. Lat. 14410 in the Bibliothe`que Nationale, Paris. The English text of the Confraternity Bible is used in volume 2 in lieu of translation of the Latin text of the manuscript.
This is an amazing gorgeous example of medieval art in a beautiful facsimile. It arranged so that that volume one is the reproduction of the apocalypse and volume two translates the text AND tells you about the symbolism in the pictures that you might not understand. OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
