In about 1812 the company changed their production to bone china, but by 1830 the firm was in decline and in 1831 their factory was unsuccessfully put up for auction. It was later rented out but the final closure and sale of stock did not take place until 1835.Anthony de Saye Hutton has been collecting and dealing in New Hall wares for twenty seven years, recording their extant patterns and their variations. Over 900 patterns are documented in the present book and a high proportion are illustrated, many for the first time. A product of many years' intensive research and enthusiasm, this is an essen-l ial handbook for anyone who collects, or is interested in, New Hall.
