Littell's Living Age was a magazine that comprised sophisticated selections from various British and American magazines and newspapers, a "Reader's Digest" of it's day. It was generally published on a weekly basis for almost a century, from 1844 to 1941. It was also often the first US publication of serialized stories by important mid-19th century authors such as Trollope.
