This is a charming and vibrantly illustrated linen like softcover story book. Some of the most gorgeous and bright lithographed books in history in my opinion, with color as bright today as it was the day it printed. - Measures approx 9 and 3/4 by 12 and 3/4 inches. - 16 full color pages. - Merrill Publishing, 1949 and illustrated by George Trimmer - I consider it to be in overall very good vintage condition considering it's age! You will find some wear, as these books are not new. The... majority of the wear/scuffing are to the cover, it's corners and edges.- No significant tears. Pages show some wear but still good and bright. - No writing. - Binding is secure.

It is important to see and examine every photo as I include writing, tears, title pages, sometimes copyright pages, and OF course, my favorite parts or illustrations of the story.

We live in a generation that has lost respect for books and the love of reading them with all of the high tech gadgets around today. My goal is to teach my children the importance and history of books and hopefully respect them as I do one day. Too many sellers out there want perfect collectors items and will discard books for minor cosmetic flaws and damage. This is more than disappointing to me and I make it a point to repurpose and mend damage to recirculate classic and beloved books back into the world because they are in affect becoming ever so scarce. Beloved children's books that people lived in their yesteryear are vanishing and my mission is to bring your favorite pastime stories back to you. Perfection should not be a do or die mission just because there is a tear one inch long on a page. The integrity of these stories are TIMELESS, if it can be fixed, it will survive countless additional years and hopefully inspire a new generation of storybook lovers!
