There is considerable material about the skirmishes with the French navy.
One of the plates illustrates how to make mineral water (seltzer) for promoting health.

A note on condition: This volume is complete and clean, and all of the engravings are in place. But the book is old and the binding is beginning to fail such that there are some loose pages.
