Shown, is a small vintage hand carved, hand painted, solid wood Pintail drake duck decoy. This a smaller decoy measuring 10 1/2" from beak to tail. I believe this had been a working decoy for some time. I don't know the age or the maker but it was purchased at a NE Georgia flea market if that helps narrow down the maker. It has glass eyes. The head had been carved separately and applied. There are some later ink markings on the bottom but I don't know what they refer to. Condition is g...ood with typical scuffs along the edges and a split to the body at the bottom ( see pics). The original weights had been removed at some point. Weighs approx 1 lb.
