What you see here is a championship ring awarded to the Wake Forest University football team following the 2002 season in recognition of the Demon Deacons’Seattle Bowl win. The ring was given to a traveling staff member. (You can see more information in the Letter of Authenticity, which is included with this offering.) This would be a terrific addition to your Wake Forest and/or college football collection. In the game, Wake Forest defeated the University of Oregon Ducks, 3...8-17 before 38, 241 fans at Seahawks Stadium in Seattle. Key plays for Wake Forest included two long TD passes from QB James McPherson to receiver Jason Anderson (53 and 67 yards) and a 12-yard TD run by the ACC Player-of-the-Year and former Deacon great Chris Barclay. Wake was coached by Jim Grobe, who would lead the Deacons to the ACC championship just four years later. This keepsake was housed in my personal sports museum for many years prior to a move later and consolidation, necessitating the sharing of many of many items in my sports memorabilia collection (please see the photo.) First and goal, clock winding down, don’t take too long in the huddle! (NOTE: Shipping includes insurance.)
