VINTAGE C. 1940’s-50’s DECO “SHORTRIP” CARAMELLEATHER LADIES’ TRAVEL CASE MULTI-COMPARTMENT, SILK & VELVET LINED. Two tiers, each section with its own set of“YALE” Locks. Luxurious andelegant. Upper tier has several compartments, for “JEWELRY”, “COSMETICS”, etc. Beautiful design (a similar “Shortrip” case was auctioned at Bonham’s inan “Art & Design” sale). Excellentcondition. Seems to be solidly built ofleather... over a wood frame and, aside from travel, could be used at home fororganizing and storage of jewelry (as we have for many years).
