DESCRIPTION Vtg Cotton Full Feedsack Small Green Cameo Flowers on Rust Red - 38 x 41 This awesome early cotton feedsack has a small scale print of green abstract flowers with black borders in notched round white cameos on a soft rust red background. Each of the cameos is about the size of a quarter. It is in good condition with no holes but it does have about 10 scattered brownish storage stains and overall even fade of the red backgrou...nd. In the last 3 photos I have shown close-ups of the worst of these stains. They are concentrated around the periphery of the fabric so there is still plenty of usable fabric here. It measures 38” wide by 41” long. I sometimes list vintage quilting fabric and feedsacks. All of these textiles are vintage, not new reproductions, primarily from estates. When listing these fabrics I use the term “feedsack” generically as they could have been flour sacks, feed sacks, sugar sacks, etc. I measure conservatively but please keep in mind that these sacks will usually have needle holes along the edges. All of my feedsacks have been carefully hand washed, line dried, and pressed with any significant damage or stains noted in the description. I come from a farm family and as a child my mother would tell stories of the wonderful dresses her grandmother made for her from these fabulous fabrics during the Great Depression and the early years of WWII. My great grandfather would be given careful instructions as to which patterns of sack to buy prior to his trips to town. As a result my love and appreciation for them started at an early age but I don’t quilt so I pass them all on to happy homes with the creative folks that do.
