Herewe have 1 of 2 antique Grodnertal peg wooden dolls I have for sale thisweek. She is 16 cm tall or just under 6 ¼ inches socould possibly be used in a large dolls house or one where scale isn’timportant. Probably circa late 1800’s and German Shehas a nice round head and a dainty long neck with painted features and blackhair. She has a very sweet face and a small hole in the top of her head. She has basic peg jointed arms and long legs, the arms move up and dow...n together freely and the legs back and forth individually. the limbs are more finely shaped on this doll with shaping on the "hands" and "feet". The white painthas worn off as has the red shoe paint but the white is still visible. Shewears an old cream dress trimmed with lace with a bow at the front with a matching bonnet, a little worn and frayed inplace. underneath she has matching short lace trimmed bloomers. Charming little doll.
