Both ducks are from same fine estate sale. Some legible writing on the base indicates each was given as gift circa 1984 & '85. Artist name appears most legible on smaller duck as "g. Lowenthal". The artist of these quite nice decoys shows exceptional work, including facial expressions, all body proportions, and detailed, very realistic white painted feathering appears on sides of both decoys. Large is approx 14" long from bill to tail feather. Smaller ...duck is about 9" long from bill to tail feather. Both are in excellent condition esp for age--plucked from basement mantle, so they were likely former mantle sitters. Photos give only partial indication of how very nice this pair is. Artist may be more famous now than back in 1985. Shipped as fragile, dense carved wood. Message if questions.
