This listing is for a vintage Continental pocket lighter and matching cigarette box. This set was made in Japan, and it is in fair to good condition, with wear and a couple of minor flaws. There are no dents or dings on either piece. Both pieces have a beautiful pearlized acrylic face with clear rhinestones. The box is missing a couple of the rhinestones, and there is a scratch that is a couple of inches long that is visible from certain angles. The lighter has all of the rhinestones, ...but there is a slight difference in hue between the top and bottom halves. There is quite a bit of wear on the gold toned areas on both the lighter and box. The box opens easily with the press of the button, and it snaps shut flush and tight. The inside of the box is very nice, and shows little wear. The lighter has one flaw, the hinge is missing the pin that would have came in it, and someone has used a wire to create a pin. As a result that snuffer cap is very loose, but with a proper sized pin it should tighten. The flint tube is clear, and with a flint inserted a nice spark is produced. This is a petrol lighter, and although it has NOT been filled and tested it should function properly with a flint and some fuel. Thank you for looking.
