Vintage 1967 Goya Rangemaster /109R/ Hollow Body Electric Guitar
Item History & Price
Remarkably unique and ahead of its time. Many of the coolest guitars of the 60's came from Italy. Certainly the most famous was built by VOX (built by EKO) but there were many others and GOYA was the most creative.
This is a rare Italian built 1967 Goya Rangemaster 109R in a nice natural finish. Excellent condition for its age and all original. There is some normal wear. Keep in mind this guitar is about... 52 years old. Please see photos for details on the wear. There are the usual dings, dents and scratches, on the finish and some light rust on the chrome.
The guitar is lightweight, double-cutaway thin line maple body with 2x chrome-covered split pickups. The multi control panels that were common with Italian instruments from that era include a master volume next to three tone options, low, medium and high. The upper controls are for pickup selection, as the pickups are split into 3+3 x2. So the controls are; 1+2, 1+4, 2+3, 3+4, off. The Fixed "Goya" -cutout tailpiece, great slim neck with bound rosewood fretboard, great playability and a large variety of sounds. Strings get out of tune so it will need a set up especially since it has been sitting for some time. The buttons slowly pop up sometimes when being played but the different pickup settings work. Guitar feels and looks great and deserves to be played. Incl. original hardshell case.
