Featured in this auction is a gorgeous little vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, even overall crazing, and no repairs. There are tiny glaze flakes or fleabites just at the base rim edge (possibly from the grinding process) as well as light mineral staining inside the vase from gentle use. This piece is almost 6" tall, 3" wide at the shoulder, and 1-1/2" wide at the lipped top rim. The base of the pott...ery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2400 and the production year XVII (1917). The vase features a geometric, incised arts-and-crafts design encircling the vase. This gorgeous glaze is a matte green underglaze with a faint dusty rose overspray that has curdled beautifully on the rim and shoulder. There is also a very slight peppering in the glaze. The vase is relatively clean both inside and out. Check out all 8 photos! This gorgeous vase would look amazing in your favorite display cabinet. It would also be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector. Check out my other pottery listings!
