Featured in this auction is a magnificent, antique cabinet vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, even overall crazing, and no repairs. This piece is 5" tall, 4" wide at the shoulder, and 2-1/2" wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 914F and the production year XIII (1913). Although not signed by the artist, this ...gorgeous vase features a hand-incised arrow design at the neck with a slightly bulbous shape. This spectacular glaze is a rich, deep-blue or indigo color with a green overspray. There is some very-light peppering in the glaze and some stray scuff marks on the vase from gentle use. Stilt marks and evidence of the grinding process are visible on the base. It is otherwise very clean both inside and out. Check out all 9 photos! This stunning vase would look amazing in your favorite display cabinet. It would also be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector. Check out my other pottery listings!
