This item is a vintage first aid kit in a green metal case. Parts of the exterior are scuffed up and rusty, as can be seen from the pictures; the metal handle is missing. The latch still works and secures the lid. On the top of the box appears, 'FIRST AID, " "Bell System, " and "American Telephone and Telegraph Co. and Associated Companies." Part of the circular decal has been damaged, and the remainder is in fair condition.Interior: On the inside surface of the lid appears "Instructio...ns For Use, " which has some small blackened areas, but otherwise is in good condition. On the inside green metal flap, is a tweezers which is stamped "Bell System." On the other side of the metal flap appears an "Arrangement Of Contents, " which is in good condition. Inside the box, are multiple small cardboard boxes, each with contents. We did not open each box to ascertain it's exact contents, but we did check to see that none of the boxes were empty. Also remaining in the box is a vintage bottle of "Tincture of Iodine, " which still contains a dark liquid. A sixteen page, paper "First-Aid Specifications" manual was also found in the first aid kit; All pages, 1-16 are present. The cover bears the information, "A. T. & T. Co's, Specifications 4018" and "Aug 1919." The front and back paper covers are moderately scuffed up; pages 2 and 3 are lightly scuffed up, and the other inside pages are in good condition.
