Thisauction is for a vintage 1948 children's a Little Golden Book, Little Red Riding Hood told and illustrated by Elizabeth Orton Jones. The pictures are beautiful and nicely illustrated. It isn't stated in the exact words that it is a First Edition but instead it says that, "This is a brand new book, illustrated especially for Golden Books".The book is in acceptable preowned vintage condition. The book was well loved! It has it's issues, but it is a classic with wonderful pictures tha...t are very nicely illustrated. There are a couple of pages that were torn and have been taped. There are, dog-eared and stained pages. There are pages that have been written on. The cover boards have the usual corner bumps and rubs, dents, dings, edge/shelf wear, surface scratches and soiling. All the corners have wear and pieces of the paper covering the cover boards missing as well as on the spine and edges of the cover board are separating. There are tears on each side where the book's creases are when opened. The former owners name is written in the inside cover board.Pleaselook at all the pictures as they are part of the description. Returns are onlyaccepted if the item is misrepresented. Buyer pays return shipping. Most itemsare shipped the next business day after payment is received. I have no controlover the cost of shipping. The post office charges according to regions andthey always round up, not down. So if an item ways 1 lb. 1 oz. then the postoffice charges for 2 lbs.
