This is from a collection of banknotes, literally as found under Mother's mattress. Mom was from that generation born during the Depression that didn't always believe in banks and tended to stash things here and there. Many things.... I am neither a collector nor a dealer (so sorry, no plastic envelopes nor certificates of authenticity), and try to describe things best as I can. I am listing the bills from this pile until eventually all the bills are gone. Almos...t near the bottom of the 1937 pile
Condition as seen in photo: minor folding / wear marks and handling dirt commensurate with age. Texture still firm and crunchy; colours clear and crisp (front of bill is more vivid than in photo). Slight off-centre & diagonal printing with wider margin at the bottom. British American Bank Note Company Limited.
