This is from a collection of banknotes, literally as found under Mother's mattress. Mom was from that generation born during the Depression that didn't always believe in banks and tended to stash things here and there. Many things.... I am neither a collector nor a dealer (so sorry, no plastic envelopes nor certificates of authenticity), and try to describe things best as I can. I am listing the bills from this pile until eventually all the bills are gone. I am ...nearing the bottom of the 1937 pile, with some denominations already extinct.
Condition as seen in photo: minor folding / rippling / wear marks / handling dirt commensurate with age; colours clear and crisp. Texture firm and crunchy. Off-centre printing with wider margin at the bottom and right.
