Here's a really hard to find old Roseville Ceramic Design 2 piece planter box in the rare Matte Green glaze. It has the original insert, which is marked with the correct shape number of 217. This line was introduced sometime around 1916, best I can recall. The planter stands 4.25" tall with the liner in place, by 5.5" wide. Condition of both pieces is excellent, with no damage or any repair found. Usually, the liners are long gone when one of these comes up for sale, so to find one com...plete is really cool. YES, we sold this item about a month back, and the high bidder said his Paypal account had been hacked and could not complete the purchase. I will not doubt his word, but it originally sold for almost $500, so I'm inclined to think he realized that was a good bit more than the book value and just backed out.
