Antique 1930 Royal Typewriter, serial no. P230741, in very good to excellent original condition. The age was determined from the online Typewriter Database for Royal typewriters (see database photo). The unit is clean and the beautiful burgundy paint and gold lettering are in nice shape. All keys work as they should, except for the backspace key. When pressed down, it does backspace the carriage, however it's a bit sticky and currently needs to be manually lifted up to continue typing.... It has been treated with penetrating oil and may improve with use. The case is very solid and without issues. The ribbon should be replaced, and they are readily available online.
