Vintage Dynaco Stereo 400 Power Amplifier. I purchased this amp a year ago in Cape Coral, FL from a man who was brokering items for a retiring physician. It was one of two for sale. When I got it home, I connected speaks and a Sony Walkman as a source. It sounded excellent but there was a slight hum in one channel that could only be heard at low volume. Hoping to solve the problem, I removed the cover and noticed one capacitor on PC30 that was discolored....so was the circuit board nea...r that capacitor. I'm not a technician but I saw there was a repair kit available for PC30 (2 capacitors and 2 diodes) I made the repairs.....had to cut a ground wire on transformer in order to set it aside to make the repairs. I pigtailed the ground wire after repairs. Amp powers on, lights come on.....no sound....no click sound of relay activating. The amp is fairly clean inside and would be good one for updating. Comes with original manual and serial numbers match on amp and manual. Is a factory wired unit....except for my apparently not so good repair on PC30. I built a small, light weight crate for shipping. Not much room to get fingers in there but what room there is, I will pad for shipping. Thanks for looking.
