VICTORIAN ERA SCOTTISH OFFICERS DIRK 
Very ornate silver embellishments with a beautiful patina. Dirk, knife and fork have amber quartz jewelsHas auxiliary Knife and Fork ensuite. All in excellent condition. Circa 1880'sOriginally purchased from "Fraser & Sons, Church st. Inverness, Scotland" Etched in blade.Blade is etched with beautiful designs including the Royal Crown, and an Egyptian Sphinx with the word EGYPT. Signifying the officer served in the ANGLO-EGYPTIAN WAR of... 1882. Also engraved in the Black wood handle is a Scottish headdress over crossed swords.
This Dirk was purchased in Scotland in the early 1990's by my late father. This is a beautiful collectors piece.overall length is 16 3/4".   Blade length is 11 1/4"
