12mo. 424 pages. Hardcover bound in decorative blue publisher's cloth with cover designs embossed in red, black and gilt. The gilt on the front board is still bright. The... spine is browned, and the covers also show a little faint toning about the edges. All edges of the text block are gilt. There is a little damping at the bottom corner of the text block which does not really seem to affect the interior. "Private Library of Guy Loring Smith" is stamped on the reverse of the frontispiece, which has some cracking at the gutter. Text is quite toned at the outer edges and gutter of each page. Includes several full-page illustrations. An attractive Victorian-era book.
