The reverse depicts the celebratedtemple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus on Rome's Capitoline Hill, the second such structure to occupythe site, was destined to be destroyed at the end of the year ( AD 69) in the fighting between the forcessupporting the two contenders for imperial power, Vitellius and Vespasian.
