Monipennie?s po...pular History of Scotland was much reprinted from first publication in the early 17th century and an early copy from 1671 is offered here detailing the history of the Scottish monarchy from the first king of Scotland to the 16th century followed by list of the kings, a description of Scotland and the Western Isles and Orkney & Shetland and mention of some of the notable and rare things of Scotland. A modest copy (dog-earing to upper corner of first & last thirty pages; two gatherings almost detached and held by stitching; inner marginal stain & creasing to last two leaves; loss to upper corner of last leaf).
