(If you are buying multiple lots please wait for by invoice so I can calculate the correct combined shipping chargee)Lot Description:This lot consist of 12 Brown Bess musket ball (.75 caliber) and 12 flints which were used to create the spark igniting the gunpowder charge.The two smaller ones were used with same period match lock pistolsThese musket balls and flints were usedwith the Brown Bess Flintlock musket; he standard British Militaryfirearm form 1722 until 1838. The Brown B...ess was used in both the American Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.These relics were recovered in 2003/2004 from the forgotten arsenal of the Royal Nepalese Gurkha Army locatedin an old palace, Lagan Silekhana, Katmandu, Nepal since 1839. The storyof the discovery can be found in Treasure IsWhere You Find It, the 30 year Quest to Rescue the Lost Arsenal of Nepal, byChristian Cranmer.The flints were used in conjunction with a steel 'frizzen' (parts of the firing mechanism) to a create a spark in the 'pan' ('flash in the plan' phrase origin) igniting the black powderpropellant when firing the flintlock.
