A lovely Antique Egyptian Assuit shawl in white and silver metal thread.There are 3 large diamond shapes with the centre one having a crisscross pattern.They are surrounded by smaller motifs and a different pattern in bands at each end.It is hand embroidered in silver metal thread which is then hammered or rollered ...to flatten the threads.Looks lovely when the light catches the metal.It is 88 inches long (223.5 cm) and is 24 inches wide (61 cm).It could be made into a great dress.CONDITION.In very good condition. There are no holes, tears, repairs, stains or patches of tarnish.
