RARE VINTAGE GOSSEN OMBRUX EXPOSURE METER WITH LEATHER CASE. GERMANY, 1933.
Item History & Price
The meter has a moving coil movement and a selenium cell. It does not require a battery. The small red button selects a low light setting. The meter scale gives shutter speeds at f9 for a speed rating of 23 Scheiner. Two double sided metal charts stored in the leather case give speeds and apertures for alternative film/plate speeds.
The meter and its case are in excellent cosme...tic condition and the meter is responding to light. It has not been tested for accuracy.
This item is part of a large collection of exposure meters built up over about 50 years and now for sale (see my other items over next few weeks). Please read the descriptions and look at the photographs. Most are in working order. Their cosmetic and functional condition has been described as well as possible but they have not been tested for accuracy. Cds and selenium cells often lose sensitivity with age therefore these exposure meters are sold as collectors items. If found to be usable this is a bonus.
