If items areclearly marked, we do not have it acid tested, especially if markings includedesigner’s markings. Unmarked items wehave tested. If natural hairlineinternal cracks in stones, loose settings (that normally happen over the years)bother you, or expect perfect, then you do not want Vintage. Even jewelry that is brand new tends to haveflaws. This is all Antique ArtDeco/Nouveau, Victorian, Vintage and newer Collectible jewelry, all newer itemshave been stored and are still part of the humongous estate collection and mayhave been worn, but minimally. Silverjewelry with stones sometimes loosen over the years, and stones shift and accumulatehairline cracks. This is part of the charm of vintage jewelry. Anything distracting we will note in ourlistings, anything damaged we do not list. Of course we may miss some flaws even after examining and we doapologize, but we have also issued refunds for those (which have beenfew). We have researched all items, butare not experts, and have some great local resources, but please ask questionsor share your knowledge too! We donot list anything that we would not wear ourselves! THIS AUCTION:This is a rare find, very few Adele Simpson jewelry pieces found anymore. Adele Simpson began designing qualityfashions and then jewelry that would coordinate with her fashions, but inlimited quantity, so often sold for a very high price especially in the 1950’s. She only produced these magnificent piecesfrom the 1940’s until the 1950’s. Thesewould be a magnificent add to any serious collectors stash for sure! The earrings are clip backfor non-pierced ears. Part of estatecollection, cushion covers on back of clips for added comfort. They are signed Adele Simpson in script on backof earrings and PAT PEND on back of clip, last part of Simson is worn due toage. They have citrine colored baguettecrystals prong set around the rim with a great big faceted citrine crystal pyramidprong set in center. They are round andmeasure approx. 1 inch diameter measured across, the pyramid stone sits approx.½ inches high. They are in lovelycondition, some age specs internally underneath stones, most likely foilbacked, which is not unusual for earrings this old, but we could only see thatthru a strong loupe and just amazed at how they display when viewing with thenaked eye, with the iridescence that they display it is hard to detect anything. They are incredible on, maybe a mildcleaning is all we can recommend, a little dusty from years of storage, colorsthat will coordinate with so many things. Hard to part with these!
