Here is a Classic antique 1840s - 1870s? vintage TEXAS BOWIE KNIFE with traditional Silver accents and Texan style "artwork". it is 14 1/4" overall length with a 9 1/2 '  gracefully  clipped blade. The handle is four pieces of (what I believe is) rosewood with silver separating ribs. Handel is attached via three heavy silver pins/The guard is of silver and all parts are Firmly in place with no wiggle anywhere. The blade is lightly and evenly pitted and has a light grey patina.... I am moving abroad and need to sell my knife (and gun) collection.
