Vintage Hermes 3000 Typewriter With Case

Very nice Hermes 3000 typewriter with metal case. Everything seems to work although the ribbon is very weak. States "Swiss Made" and "Suisse" on the left side under the carriage. Types 10 characters to the inch. I can't find a serial number. The defects are that the platen knob on the left side is cracked, I can't find the button that releases the platen, there are a few white-out marks, and the case handle brackets show signs of rust. Other than tha...t it seems very nice.
The Hermes 3000 is, of course, known as a very well made typewriter. I got it many years ago from the original owner and considered myself very lucky. After carrying it a bit I decided to continue to use the much lighter (and cheaper) Remington that I could put in my suitcase with a package of paper.
