Offered for sale is what Ibelieve to a fine example of a Whitefriars cased ruby in clear crystal glass bowl byGeoffrey Baxter Pattern 9414. This first appeared in the 1954 Catalogue making itan early example of Geoffrey Baxter contemporary style. This shape came intwo sizes this one is the larger. This otherwise super condition example haswhat I can only describe as a two small mist patches within the glass. I do notknow how this has come about but they can only be noticed in certain l...ight.Generally this does not detract from the otherwise super display quality ofthis less common example of Whitefriars. I have attempted to illustrate in ImageNo.5 Apart from wear to the base the item is free for chips and cracks. Itmeasures approx. 34cms in length and stands 13cms in height. A great additionto any Whitefriars Collection or as an example of Mid Century British GlassDesign. Contact me if you have any questions.
