This beautiful item is constructed by hand using tufted brass with three thick beveled glass panes. I suspect that this was a Grand Tour piece dating from Victorian times. Externally It measures 9.5cms tall when standing (with the folding handle down) by 6.6cms wide by 6.2cms deep at the base. Internally it measures some 3.3cms from the internal hook to the cushion by 5.5cms wide by some 4cms deep at the base. In reality, it is too small to display a ...standard size pocket watch, but would fabulously display a ladies pocket watch or an item of jewellery. Indeed,  no matter what it could showcase,  it looks wonderful just on its own!  Please have a look at the photographs to determine the condition and detailing (very good for its age but I haven't cleaned it as I'd rather leave it in its natural state) and if you have any questions then please just ask.
