Original Description:
An antique hand wrought iron hearth griddle or fryer to set a roast on or to put a pot on. It is very heavy at 9 lbs. and is rough and uneven as made. It has rust in the depressions and pits in the surface. It is 17-1/4 inches long, 9-5/8 to 9-3/4 inches diameter and stands about 2 inches high. It has 3 heavy duty legs integrated into the bottom. I think I bought in Pennsylvania years ago or possibly New England. Looks circa 1700's Colonial America.
