Up for sale in the Drum Hub’s eBay store is a vintage Ludwig14 x 22 base drum wrapped in blue sparkle pearl. The shell is 3 ply with re -rings. It has a Keystone badge with serial number 321423, which makesthe born-on date around mid-1966. Interioris a beautiful clear maple but no date stamp. The wrap is vibrant and tight atthe seams with hardly any fade (see photo). Chrome hardware is very bright and shiny withsome corrosion or missing chrome on a couple... of the T rods and minor pitting ona couple of the lugs. It has the newer style ratchet rail console with blockLudwig logo. The drum was originallydrilled for two pair of straight disappearing spurs which have some rust andmarks from the tighten bolts. Hoops havebeen repainted and the entire sparkle inlay is intact all around. It looks like it has the original front head. Bearing edges are fine. They don’t come much nicer than this one fromthis era. Buy it now price is $425.00
