This is a piece of Kosta Boda Swedish art glass, signed and created by the legendary Scandinavian glass artist Bertil Vallien. The piece is a votive candle holder, bookend, or just a visually stunning mantel sculpture, depending on your desired use -- it could be all three! The title of this piece is "Starlight Dancer" and it comes in an original Kosta Boda box with included information about the artist and the piece. It is an angled thick glass design, a deep cerulean blue, with a mod...ernist style human figure stretching its arms and legs on the front surface of the bookend.
The piece is in excellent vintage condition. The box has some wear from age and storage, but the glass piece itself shows no signs of wear, and boasts an original Kosta Boda sticker on the backside as pictured. It is signed in the glass, also pictured.
It measures 6 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches wide, and 4 1/4 inches deep.
