Vintage wear and tear as seen.Scale:approx 1” to 1' scale, can be used for smallerAge: c1940s eraHerewe have the rarest of the rare- a fantastic, vintage Rich Toys (or Keystone!) Colonial four-room dollhouse, complete with its rarely seen frontporch lamp, original front door, and unusual and fancy porch with a'widow's walk' roof over the front door! . Red roof, nifty originalexterior paint with blue shutters, metal windows, - the works! It'sa decidedly rare house from our consigner- this exact house isn'teven shown in Dian Zillner's book!Thisbeautiful two story Colonial has it all- four factory-painted roomsin lively, bright colors. There's a baby's nursery and an elegantparlor with sewing machine upstairs (normally the master bedroom andbath) and downstairs a nice dining room/kitchen and an elegant livingroom. Allthe original metal window frames are there- so often these aremissing entirely- we think the upstairs vinyl window panes may bereplacements, but if so, they're as old as the house. The originalopening front door and shutters are all there, and nicely 3Ddetailed. The Colonial or Plantation exterior is wonderful, with thatelegant four columned porch and fancy widow's walk above, and apartially restored porch light below. And it has both originalchimneys, so often missing! It has holes for electric (Rich used hugeChristmas tree-like bulbs, easily sourced) and a support beam on thelower floor- this is chipped at the top, but we don't think it wentall the way to the second floor as it might seem. Wear to roof edgesand paint as seen.The living room has received a nicewallpaper in the past; it's easily removed should the new owner wish, and there are really nice vintage curtains in all the windows. Thepictures you see on the walls are attached, and will convey with thehouse. Thereis no full repaint or repair to this house, (the roof might have hada slight overwash 'refresher coat of red) remarkable, given its age.In short, a wonderful addition to a collector of 1930s-40s Keystoneor Rich houses- and who knows when we'll see its like again?We'veshown you the house with lots of good vintage Renwal and Plascofurnishings in it (they are in other auctions), butnote that none is included, and this auction is just for the house. There is vintage dust in the corners and wear overall as seen, and abit of miniwax to some surfaces, (though that's easily removed), butthis is such a rare, rare home we doubt you'll mind! When buying somethingpreowned, it's easy for a less than honest buyer to pick a flaw outof the air and attempt to secure a partial refund over imagined orexaggerated 'imperfections'. Ifsomeone is looking for a way to get money back, sure, one can alwaysfind something, anything at all, despite any seller's carefullywritten description.
