~ Milkmaid and Cow ~ Grapevine & Fruit Border Farm Scenes ~ William Adams & Sons ~ Eagle
Impressed Mark ~
~*~7” high to top of spout ~ 8” from spout to handle
A large milk pitcher transfer printed in dark blue in this popular... series of farm scenes, I think popular for the different scenes but also for the lovely lacy border.
The milk maid and the cow is printed on both sides.
A platter from this series in illustrated in Snyder's 'Romantic Staffordshire Ceramics' on page 30 and another scene is shown in Arman's cup plate book Vol. 2.'
It has the impressed ADAMS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE mark with an eagle. ~ In nice display condition but has had restoration that is well done, the spout, rim, the base of the handle all have been retouched. Sold ‘as found’ but in very nice display condition.
Please see all the photos and close up photos to add to the condition report. ~
