Condition:
An excellent copy.
The original dust Jack is present and in excellent condition. It has not been price clipped and does not have sun bleaching to the pink portion of the spine, which is usually prevalent with this 1st edition dust jacket. There is some very minor rubbing wear to the edges an...d the back, but the jacket is now housed in a plastic sleeve.
The original green cloth hardback boards are in excellent condition. The spine is straight and the gold gilt lettering is strong and unblemished.
The binding is tight and main text block is clean with no sign of ageing, foxing or browning. There are no previous owner notes or dedications, but 4 poems on the contents page have been marked with a neat red dot to the left margin.
In all a fantastic, clean, collectors copy of this rare Seamus Heaney edition - his first collection of poetry.
