Original Description:
This is a shoe box full of dozens of World War II letters from a serviceman, one Robert E. Bloomer of Paoli, Pa., to his family.  He was apparently stationed in the European Theater, as one on top is datedlined "in England", but I have not searched them.  There are also a number of odd documents from earlier times-- the earliest I saw was a real estate deed from the 1870s-- cancelled checks, things which looked like stock certificates, et cetera.  (None of which immediat...ely appeared valuable to me, but I'm no ephemera dealer, so what do I know?)  Anyway.  I think I bought them ages ago at an auction for next to nothing, purely to keep them from going into the trash, and now I'd rather have the house space.
