Description ...Here is an original 1980s VINTAGE (serial number is 1D12598) mens PANASONIC VILLAGER III 10-SPEED road racing bicycle with 27" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing colored bright RED factory paint with original decals. If you like good quality vintage road bikes made in Japan, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool mens butted tubing road bike frame and forks with original paint and decals, 3-piece Selecta aluminum cranks, Center pull brakes, Shimano Positron derailleur, super cool FF (Front Freewheel) system, Panasonic aluminum neck, cool drop style handlebars, aluminum shifters, and more! Includes a bonus accessory water bottle cage!*This bike was purchased new locally and has had the same owner since new! He said it has low miles since new and has always been well cared for! (see pics and be your own judge)
*The tires are 27x1/4". They are newer replacement tires and do hold air. (The previous owner said he had this installed last summer!) The bike has chrome rims front and rear.
*The bike is an original TEN SPEED and the REAR gears do operate. (front gears will need tlc to shift) The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (may need adjustment or possible cable replacement)
*DIMENSIONS This is a hard to find tall frame quality vintage Japanese built road bike! The standover height is approx 34 3/4". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 35 1/4". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 25". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is nice! The paint looks good for a 35+ year old bike! The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Would look nice with a basic detailing. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.
*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
