This is a IDed Civil War CDV photograph of a well armed soldier that was killed during the war. It is 100% original piece and not a modern copy or altered in any way. One of the nicer CDVs I've seen. It has the seated soldier holding a musket and he has two Colts sticking out of his belt. One is a 51 Navy, you only see the handle of the other. The photo was taken in Philadelphia. I have been that he is from a Zouave by the way the buttons on his shell jacket are. Written on t...he back in period ink is his name, his fathers name and "may he rest in peace". His father was from Ireland so I thought it would be an Irish Brigade but knowledgeable collector told me about the Zouave jacket. Nice CDV you will be very pleased with.  I start all my auctions at $2.00. It has nothing to do withthe quality of the item, I let the bidders decide what it is worth. Good luckbidding on this armed Civil war soldier CDV.
