An Original Antique Silver & Enamel Compact dating to the Art Dec era. Engraved design to both edges and central pink guilloche enamel on both sides. Clear ENGLISH HALLMARK of LION, ANCHOR for BIRMINGHAM and DATE LETTER E for 1929, also MAKERS MARK of C&N for CRISFORD & NORRIS of Vyse St, Birmingham. Opens and closes crispl...y and mirror is good. As you can see it has a patch of edge wear to the enamel. It also has an internal tray which is removeable so may need inserting properly as it moves. Good clasp and hinge. A pretty piece.
