This is a vintage Brother Webster XL-747 manual typewriter with original case and a couple of paper inserts; directions and parts key. Portable typewriter is a beautiful shade of deep robin's egg blue and is in near mint cosmetic condition. This is a used typewriter that is being sold "as is" but it really looks and performs as if it was only rarely used if used at all! Super clean. All parts, knobs, keys, etc. are in place and seem to work just great. Keys are a bit stiff but th...is has been in an attic for years. Not sure if ribbon is original but it too, looks like-new..... not sure if it was replaced. No scratches, chips, or dents in finish or metal casework. Top pops off just fine if you need to get into it for ribbon changing or other maintenance. No erasure residue or even dust in the interior. Even still has the gold and black Parents Magazine seal on top! Comes with the case. Case is in good condition; could use a bit of a cleaning but no tears or writing. Zipper a tiny bit balky in one area but this case did its job in keeping the typewriter in excellent, clean condition. Interior of case has one small spot of darkness and there is only very tiny spot on exterior that has some finish wear. Has a "Care and Maintenance of your Typewriter" booklet as well as a diagram of the machine and name of all parts tucked into a pocket in case. Label on interior of case indicates that typewriter and case were made in Nagoya, Japan. All in all, though I'm no expert, I would say this is a great little machine...… seems to work just fine and is very attractive. Would look fantastic on a desk or bookshelf.
