Rare 16th Century Wooden Candlesticks ( Oak or Fruitwood )
16th Century pole lathe turning candlesticks, these are massive and beautiful, full of personality and their own story. Some drippings of old candle wax exist, some markings on bottom. They are very strong and heavy, the white tack was in place at purchase to perfectly allow item to sit flush on surfaces. Metal sconces are original, and match historical research for the time period. 

HISTORY: Was purchased recent...ly from an estate sale. The owner was a European antiques collector, her collection was massive. She stated while in England in the 1980's she purchased a mass of items from "sothebys type" auction of a 16th century castle. She could not remember the name of the castle, but stated she paid ten of thousands for her appraised 16th century lot.Good Luck!
