      Seldom available, this pair of spelter cubist moderne bookends with original copper / bronze finish were designed by Abraham Abbot Schy circa 1930-1940 and produced by Ray Dodge of California. Based on the superb condition we are nearly positive that these were a one owner acquisition, part of an enviable collection and have not changed hands until now. The condition is stunning. Highly stylized motif and dramatic pose accent these remarkable bookends. Little if an...y age related wear. Old felt on undersides. Each marked on backside A. ABBOT SCHY 47.
